The project involved the remediation and upgrading of the water mains crossing the river Ombrone near the Mussolini Bridge, serving the residential areas of Grosseto, Marina di Grosseto and the Grancia's water treatment plant. The work involved replacing the existing pipes, partly buried in the floodplain and partly anchored to the bridge structure, with new ones. The project was carried out in a complex environment, characterized by high traffic loads and the need to operate close to the riverbed, ensuring the continuity of drinking water service throughout all construction phases. This is a significant infrastructure project, aimed at improving the reliability and safety of a strategic section of the water supply network.
